Terms & Conditions

I am a trained, certified Paediatric Sleep Consultant, but I am not medically trained, therefore I do not make medical diagnoses. However, I can support the identification of sleep disorders and suggest when medical support may be necessary.

Parents should ensure that they have a quiet and stable period in which to implement their suggested sleep plan; continuity, stability and persistence are important.

In some cases, I might suggest that your child visits another specialist in advance of beginning any kind of sleep programme who might be able to help with any outstanding health or behavioral issues that are not in my area of expertise.

As a parent accepting a customised sleep plan:

I agree to follow safe sleeping practices in line with sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) recommendations.

  • I agree to check with my general practitioner (GP) if my baby has any medical conditions which prevent them from being sleep trained safely.

  • I agree to disclose any medical condition that my child has to The Sleep Consultant.

  • I agree to let relevant data about my child’s situation be used in case studies, provided that no identifying information will be used, and all names will be changed.

  • I agree to pay the invoice prior to the consultation date and acknowledge that if the invoice hasn’t been paid, my customised sleep plan will not be written.

  • I understand that sleep package fees are non-refundable once the bespoke sleep plan has been issued. If I decide to halt support during a package, I will also not be eligible for a refund. This is to cover the work and preparation already invested by Lullababies. If I cancel before a sleep plan has been issued, Lullababies has the right to hold £100 to cover any time, assessment and work already put into my sleep plan.

  • I understand that my customised sleep plan is meant for my child and me only and should not be shared with a third party.

  • I agree that any changes I make to my baby’s sleeping or eating arrangements are my decision and Lullababies only makes suggestions for change which I am responsible for choosing to implement.

  • I understand that Lullababies will endeavour to respond to any emails, messages, or missed telephone calls within 1 working day.

  • I understand that Lullababies does not work at weekends or on UK bank holidays, unless otherwise arranged by the parents and consultant. She, therefore, will not take phone calls or answer emails or other correspondence. Any correspondence received on a weekend or bank holiday will be answered on the following Monday or the next working day.

  • I understand that if Lullababies does not hear from me for a period of time, or if I miss a pre-arranged call or meeting time, she will assume or presume that all is going well, and no further support is required.

  • I understand my role is important in following through suggested approaches and strategies with consistency to provide the greatest potential for change. I understand Lullababies does not provide guarantees that all sleep problems can be resolved.

  • I understand that I maintain and hold full responsibility for my child’s health throughout sleep work.

  • I understand that if an assessment form has been returned completed but the agreed start date of the package has been pushed back by more than 14 days, a full reassessment will be required, and this will incur an additional charge of £79 to cover the time of analysing the new completed assessment form.

  • If my child becomes unwell during the duration of the support period, which deeply impacts their ability to sleep, we can pause the support until such a time when the child is in better health, providing it is within 14 days. Anything longer and a new assessment may need to be completed and analysed. This will incur an additional charge of £79 to cover the extra time to re-assess my information and re-issue a bespoke plan. The initial assessment can still go ahead as sleep work does not need to start immediately.

  • In case of The Consultant’s illness, she will provide you with a good notice period where possible and ensure minimal disruption to your time working together.
